Autumn Beef Stew

From Gavin Murphy's site tonight we had Autumn Beef Stew. Amazing. The flavors were fantastic. Gavin was right. It did melt in your mouth like butta! And the house smelled so good! This recipe will reappear this winter.

Soooo, yes I'm reading beef stew recipes at 8 in the morning. :) What does he mean by "add the juices". Is that the reserved meat juice that was saved in a bowl and the stock? I'm so not a cook, but he did say to put the colander over a bowl, so one can only assume you will use the juice. :) I love parsnips but don't cook with them a lot either, so this sounds yummy! Oh, I just re-read it and perhaps I understand it better now. And this is why I bake! :)

This looks like just what I need today after being out in the weather (don't ask why!) -- I'm heading to the kitchen right now to chop, maybe with a glass of wine to help things along!
